Privacy Policy: Tab Organizer Last updated: 06/05/2026 Tab Organizer (“the extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that groups your open tabs into categories based on URL pattern rules. This policy explains what data the extension handles. What the extension accesses The extension reads the URL, title, last-accessed time, window ID, and tab group ID of each open tab in your browser. This is necessary to match tabs against the URL pattern rules that determine which category each tab belongs to. What the extension stores The extension stores the following data in chrome.storage.local on your device:
Your category definitions (labels, colors, URL patterns) Your settings (such as the auto-organize toggle) A temporary snapshot of your last window merge, kept for five minutes after the merge to enable the undo feature, then automatically deleted
What the extension transmits Nothing. The extension makes zero network requests to any external service. No data about your tabs, your settings, or your usage ever leaves your browser. There is no backend server, no analytics, no telemetry. What the developer collects Nothing. The developer has no access to any data from your browser or your installation of this extension. There is no account system, no login, no sign-up. Data sharing The extension does not share any data with any third party because it does not collect any data. Changes to this policy If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Any change to the extension that introduces data collection or external network requests will be highlighted here and in the Chrome Web Store description.
